    Program Summary

    Thursday, March 31, 2022

Today, each participating choral program will benefit from an adjudicated performance of their own repertoire, followed by an engaging, one-hour clinic with one of COA’s Clinicians. Everyone will also enjoy a scheduled observational opportunity (watching another choir perform), along with engaging workshops for ALL participants. Scheduled workshops include:
    • xChange – A Meeting of Voices (during which choirs from across the country interact with and sing for each other)
    • Broadway 101 workshop (join our Broadway faculty for an engaging, energetic look at the world of musical theater)

    Friday, April 1, 2022

The COA National’s Principal Conductor, Rollo Dilworth, takes over today for fun and educational massed choir rehearsals.

Following rehearsals, all participating choirs will perform during an awe inspiring prism concert in world-famous Stern Auditorium in Carnegie Hall. The concert will open with a world-premiere tutti performance of a new work by composer Andrea Ramsey with Andrea conducting! During the concert, choral programs bringing 45 or more singers will have the opportunity for a “spotlight performance” on their own… and ALL participants will perform as one of two massed choirs. The concert wraps with an amazing all-choir world premiere finale written (and accompanied) by Elaine Hagenberg especially for this event. It will be spectacular, once-in-a-lifetime experience!
